RadiusX combines the technology of thin friction plates from Rekluse TorqDrive with its proven entry-level automatic clutch model – Rekluse EXP 3.0.
EXP is Rekluse’s innovative technology that uses centrifugal force to enable automatic engagement and disengagement based on engine RPM. With EXP, it's nearly impossible to stall when braking, there's no need to use the clutch during start/stop, and power is efficiently transferred to the ground.
TorqDrive® is the technology with thinner friction plates that Rekluse developed for the CoreManual TorqDrive in collaboration with Honda HRC, among others. Thinner and more friction plates improve cooling, and the plates are made of steel and friction materials with optimal properties for power transfer, cooling, and durability.
Unlike the Core EXP and RadiusCX, RadiusX reuses large parts of the original clutch. RadiusX mainly consists of the EXP mechanism (EXP bases, weights, EXP springs) and TorqDrive (thin friction plates, steel plates), and in some cases (KTM/Husqvarna) also includes the pressure plate, slave cylinder, etc.
The advantages include:
If your bike is already equipped with a Rekluse auto clutch system using EXP 3.0 – whether it be RadiusX, RadiusCX, or Core EXP 3.0 – there’s a quick and convenient option for you. Depending on your system, you have the choice of purchasing an EXP 4.0 assembly on its own, or an EXP 4.0 assembly plus a fresh clutch pack with complete with drive plates and TorqDrive friction disks and baskets
