6D Motocross Helmets

6D Motocross Helmets

6D Helmets are dedicated to the relentless pursuit of brain protection, their goal is to develop a revolutionary design concept utilizing creative, forward-thinking technology that would change the market and improve the safety capabilities of the sport’s helmet. 6D’s exclusive patented Omni Directional Suspension™ provides superior protection capabilities.

Omni-Directional Suspension Technology (ODS)

6D’s Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) embodies a fully active, in-helmet suspension and kinetic energy management system. This system reduce energy transfer to the brain over a broad range of energy demands, including low, mid, and high velocity impacts for both linear and angular accelerations.

6D’s suspended dual-liner assembly will displace and shear omni-directionally when subjected to impact. The elastomeric isolation dampers work in unison with the dual EPS liners to isolate impact energy from your brain. The elastic properties of the dampers, combined with their unique ‘hourglass’ shape provide a progressive spring rate that manages low and mid-threshold accelerations, while simultaneously allowing the inner EPS  liner to displace and shear in 3-dimensional space within itself. This omni-directional suspension capability provides ‘six degrees of freedom’, which became the inspiration for the company name; "6D Helmets".

ATR-1 or ATR-2?

ATR-1, launched in 2013 includes ODS technology and offers top performance at an attractive price point. ATR-2 is rebuildable and takes ODS and other patents to a new level. ATR-2 incorporates new advancements including a multi-impact EPP liner, replaceable inner EPS liner, progressive EPP damping towers, low-friction sliding disks, isolated dampers, and 30% more travel in the ODS.
