Vertex was founded in 1953 as a workshop producing spare parts for agricultural engines and pumps. The name Vertex was chosen by a priest who gave his blessing to the first facility. Vertex is a Latin word meaning “Top.” In the beginning, Vertex was a small company with only eight workers. Their first chief engineer came from IPSIA, a technical college in the Reggio Emilia area. Today, more than 400 people work at Vertex, and the company is part of a large group with many well-known brands such as Hot Cams, Hot Rods, Pivot Works, and Cylinder Works.
